DEEP FRIENDSHIP My best friend is a 15ft tiger shark named Emma

    OMG...like how? No way! You know, I've read a lot of stories about people that are friends with bears, tigers, alligators and more and sometimes it doesn't end well even after a twenty year relationship with the animal. How does Jim Abernathy know he's safe or feels that his safe with Emma, the tiger shark, which by the way is at the top of the food chain in the ocean along with white sharks and bull sharks.

    But ever since meeting Emma in 2001 when he removed a fishing hook from her mouth, the pair have formed a very special bond that has lasted over two decades.

    The underwater photographer and diver says tiger shark Emma is just like a loveable "Labrador" who loves to bump noses with Jim as soon as he jumps in the water at Tiger Beach.
